Close Protection City & Guilds Level 3 This unit covers the practical skills and underpinning knowledge required for a close protection operative working within close protection environment. The skills developed by the learner include: threats and risk assessment, surveillance, operational planning, teamwork, reconnaissance, foot drills, journey management, searches, venue security, communication and conflict management. This course is required in order to apply for a UK SIA License.

Assessment This unit will be assessed by: • Practical skills assessment • Multiple choice examination

Duration The course will be run over 12 consecutive days and will commence at 9am until late evening.

Prerequisites There are no prerequisites for inclusion on this training course. No Previous Experience is required as full training will be given.
